As part of the Professional Socialites dynamic duo, I focus on coordination and being the creative genius behind our events. My passion started with weddings. My mother was a wedding planner when I was growing up, and I quickly fell in love with the chaos that goes into making one day the greatest day of a person’s life. As a Hotel and Restaurant Management major in the Conrad N. Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management at the University of Houston, my passion for event planning came to life. I have had the rare opportunity to have my entire career be within the hospitality industry; working at hotels, interning with an up-and-coming wedding planner and even managing one of Houston’s premier wedding venues. I must say there is no greater place to be, because for me, planning an event is an extension of my will to listen to clients and allow my creativity to take over and truly wow them. I am a proud member of Mu Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and their love and support has kept me grounded in my work and encouraged me to reach for the stars! When I’m not planning an event, you can find me watching Style Network, TLC or Discovery Health, looking through magazines and the internet for new trends and fashion finds, or out in Houston with Megan doing what we do best: enjoying everything that this city has to offer. Professional Socialites is a dream that became a reality through the love and support of those around us and our job is to make sure every client is granted the same reality!

Being the more “type-A” half of the Professional Socialites duo, I focus on the public relations aspect of the company and logistical coordination of our events. As a Public Relations major in the Jack J. Valenti School of Communications at the University of Houston, my interest in public relations and event planning was born. While I’ve always been a talker, I have honed that trait into a skill that helps me give a voice to our clients. I have been blessed to work — in corporate communications, the sports industry, and as a Public Relations and Events Director for a small non-profit foundation — doing what I love: designing ingenious events and implementing effective public relations campaigns. I am the proud mom of Jordyn, a sassy seven year-old, who is a Diva-in-Training that we call our “Mini Socialite”. When I’m not working or shuttling Jojo around, you can catch me on the hunt for a good Ribeye, reading any book I can get my hands on, watching CNN (I absolutely love Anderson Cooper), incessantly updating my Twitter and Facebook statuses, or checking out the newest up-and-coming spot with Crystal. I think what separates us from the pack is our personal investment in each event we coordinate. Professional Socialites is the culmination of several dreams of ours, and we make sure that each client’s dream is realized as well!
